Arnold Community Foundation Fundraiser

The Arnold Community Foundation Fund (ACFF) is holding their first annual fundraiser dinner and auction on November 12, 2011, at the Arnold Community Center.

The event will feature entertainment from Dave Thorell, KRVN AM Radio Midday Host, and a gourmet meal catered by Dave and Susie Collins of “The Main Course.” Tickets are available for $25.00 per person and can be purchased from members of the ACFF, Pinnacle Bank, or at the door.

Thorell, who is a 37-year veteran of KRVN radio, is known as the “Dave of all trades” in the agricultural radio world. He is a master speaker all over Nebraska and Kansas, entertaining many of the state’s church congregations. He enjoys sharing humorous stories about growing up farming in Nebraska with his father.   

The auction sale bill includes vacation packages, seed corn, veterinary services and supplies, firearms, jewelry, automotive services, agri-chemicals, handmade quilts, and much more.    

All of the event proceeds will build the “community savings account” or Unrestricted Endowment account for the Arnold Community Foundation Fund. All funds will be used to support and strengthen local nonprofit organizations and make grants back to the communities for community development projects and programs, community betterment, leadership development, youth and adult education, youth retention, entrepreneurship development, and training and philanthropy education.
